Eenadu’s reviewer made a similar point about the story lacking freshness. The recurring verdict: a strong premise let down by flat treatment, with the interval block and the final stretch being the parts that actually work.
The performances are the consistent bright spot. Regena Cassandrra fits the NRI role well, Anupama Parameswaran is convincing in an understated part, and Viraj Ashwin holds his own. Ilaiyaraaja’s score is, as expected, a draw in itself.
