The premise: Home Minister Kanakaraju assassinates the sitting Chief Minister to seize the top job. A CCTV business owner stumbles onto the murder footage — and that footage becomes the thing everyone is hunting. Caught in the middle is Rudra, an unassuming dog groomer who ends up protecting a young girl the politician wants silenced. The story follows Rudra as he tracks down the hidden video and tries to expose Kanakaraju.
It runs 2 hours 4 minutes, and the tone is gritty and brutal rather than mass-masala — closer to Ravi Babu’s signature dark, content-led style.

Is Razor worth watching?
Honest version: it has a couple of clever ideas buried inside a derivative, exhausting package.
Critics landed in the below-average range — 123telugu gave it 2.5/5 and Great Andhra 2/5. The praise was narrow: the riddle-style hunt for the hidden video file and a layered-video concept are genuinely inventive, and the middle stretch holds interest. Baby Tejal Vikhyathi drew consistent praise for bringing real emotional weight. Beyond that, reviewers found the story familiar — echoes of older Telugu films and Korean thrillers — the outcome predictable, and the violence so excessive and gruesome that it becomes wearying rather than thrilling. Ravi Babu’s largely expressionless lead turn also drew criticism for a role that needed more emotional range. The film flopped theatrically.
